Back to Ordinary Time
I had to go back to the first Ordinary Time volume in the breviary set today, and realized that I had made it all the way through the Lent/Easter volume. That is the first time ever that I have made it through an entire volume of the breviary! Actually, at Mass last week the priest said that Easter time lasts through the week following Pentecost, but that is apparently only in the Tridentine Rite, as my (Novus Ordo) breviary ends Easter season with Evening Prayer on Pentecost. Since the breviary is back in Ordinary Time, so as not to be splitting Rites we have stopped singing the Regina Caeli before meals and gone back to reciting the Angelus in its place. If there is a sung Angelus I’m not aware of it.

There is at least one sung Angelus that I know of. Unfortunately, I can’t find it online anywhere. It is in “The Traditional Roman Hymnal”. This is the same one that Joseph said they sang in the Society of St. John.
